OXYGEN THERAPY

Oxygen Therapy

Supplemental Oxygen Therapy

Each year, approximately 1 million Medicare beneficiaries receive supplemental oxygen therapy in the course of treatment for conditions like Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD). In the past, oxygen therapy was seen as a treatment that limited patients due to the bulk and/or lack of oxygen for trips and often confined them to their homes to accommodate the delivery of tanks from their provider. Oxygen therapy has greatly improved over the past decade to ensure the best possible quality of life for those who require supplemental oxygen. One Step Ahead & HME equips the patient to be able to fill bottles on their own schedule and in the convenience of their own home – eliminating the need for bottle delivery schedules. We also provide many conveniently sized bottles that make traveling to the grocery store, visiting family and friends, and working out in the yard easy and less cumbersome. We also offer portable oxygen concentrators free of charge to our existing oxygen patients, on a first come, first served basis, to assist with traveling out of town for extended trips. Furthermore, we also have extremely competitive pricing for cash purchases of portable oxygen concentrators that have a 5-year warranty. Contact us today for more information!

Qualification Process

Most insurances will cover oxygen therapy as long as certain guidelines are met. We can discuss these qualifications with you and your medical provider if they are not familiar with what needs to be done. Once we have obtained the documentation required by your insurance, we will contact you to schedule an in-home set up and training for the equipment. During the setup, out-of-pocket expenses will be discussed with you. For those with no insurance or high deductible plans, we offer competitive cash prices for equipment and supplies.
